Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have so many inspirations, when it comes to music. I’m very inspired by various traditional folk music and ballad traditions, and my 5th album (“The Ballad of Tam Lin” is my modern retelling of an old Scottish ballad.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I love performing, but it’s so difficult to get your music “out there” these days. Playing at the Global Citizen Festival would be so meaningful in my journey to get my music heard.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would record another album and hire the best musicians to bring it to life with me, a manager, someone to help with marketing, and I’d also use it for ballroom dancing! I’m a competitive ballroom and Latin dancer and I squirrel away all my money to help with both my music and dancing!
