Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Bruce Springsteen made Born To Run at a crossroads in his career as his previous albums fell below the expectations of Columbia Records. It was a do-or-die situation and Springsteen slept at the NYC studio to complete the album, despite his perfectionism. An early pressing made it regional radio and spread like wildfire. Pete Townshend who was driven by spiritual seeking, which resulted in three successive groundbreaking (conceptual) albums: Tommy, Who's Next and Quadrophenia.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Like Bruce early in his career I have yet had a chance to reach a wider audience. Exposure at this level would connect me with a broader potential fan base to gain some traction towards touring.
What would you do with $50,000?
I self-financed and self-released two albums just within the past year. The funds would greatly help offset the cost alone of producing and releasing these records, as well as helping with marketing and merchandise.
