Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We’re big fans of post punk/new wave explorations, such as joy division and the talking heads. Modern psychedelic rock like king gizzard and the lizard wizard, Pink Floyd, the psychedelic porn crumpets also play an important role. But there’s also some things you wouldn’t expect, like Metallica and the Beatles that shape the songs we create.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a very strong jumpstart. We’ve been playing local shows and touring for the past year, with a small social media presence and a large local pull. Louisville has a strong punk scene we’re fostering, and this festival would help put the worlds eyes on us, instead of just our small towns
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 dollars would help us along one of our big goals, working on starting a local music studio to help record the other bands in our local scene, to help capture their sounds and songs to keep them alive for generations to come. The ability to also record our album of original tracks, and make it sound as good as it could be, would also be a huge impact on our lives. Louisville isn’t the biggest city, but we love our hometown and its charm, and want to change it for the better.
