Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from the energy and spirit of the Bay Area; where hustle, resilience, and creative expression are a way of life. Growing up in Oakland, I was influenced by legends like Mac Dre, E-40, and Too Short, who taught me to stay authentic and make music that moves people. I blend that Bay funk with real-life experiences, using my music to tell stories, inspire, and keep the party lit.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a major milestone in my career. It would not only amplify my music to a worldwide audience but also position me as an artist who uses his platform for positive change. Being part of a movement that tackles poverty and social injustices would be both an honor and a responsibility. I believe that blending my music with a purpose-driven cause would resonate deeply with fans and broaden my impact beyond just entertainment.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I had $50,000, I’d secure my living situation by covering rent for at least six months. I’d invest $4-6K in building a personal recording setup and set aside $5-8K for marketing to boost my reach. The rest would go towards starting my album, while keeping about $20K in savings to maintain stability as I focus on growing my career. This would set a solid foundation that will keep pushing me forward.
