Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My grandfather. I grew up with my grandparents and he loved guitar. He always told me story’s of his band in high school. But I watched him wake up at 5am every day to provide instead of chasing his dreams. He hasn’t touched his guitars in years. I want him to feel that his love for music wasn’t wasted and that he has me to show for it.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I feel like it would be the start of an amazing new artist all things to rolling stone and top hit maker. Where I’m from (Nelsonville, Oh) there’s a population of maybe 5000 people. No matter if you’re good it’s hard to get your music heard without social media and contest like these. I don’t think I would just win, I feel I’d succeed long after.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest in top of the line equipment and book sessions with more professional engineers and producers so I could create and album that would propel my career thanks to the attention gained from the contest and the global citizen festival
