Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Music for me started at a young age listening to my grandparents and parents sing. Then gospel and praise artist like Peabo Bryson and mahailia Jackson. Then onto Neil Diamond and Larry Graham, Bill Withers and so on. I fell in love with soul R&B Luther vandross, Lionel Richie, and learned to tell stories of my life through my music. Reggae music made me feel alive and grounded with artist like Bob Marley, toots and the maytals, Steele Pulse and others.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This would be the most amazing experience ever!! It could be an opportunity to work with some of my heroes, the best writers and producers in the music and entertainment industry. This would be a dream come true to perform in front of thousands and meet other artists that share the same dream!!
What would you do with $50,000?
I would be able to go on tour and promote my music to the world. To help inspire and uplift others through the universal language of music and to help those who struggle with mental illness see that there is hope for all!!
