Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have so many musical inspirations from across all genres & art forms. But I am from MN so to say that Prince has been a major influence on my musical journey would be a MASSIVE understatement. In music, business, performance, self expression, you name it Prince was a lighthouse for me when I would get to bogged down with what I thought would be "cool" or "Industry acceptable". I want to make music that creates memories. I would like to be on the sound track to the bes
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
One of the hardest thing you can do as an indie artist is rise above the noise. There are so many people all with the same dream and they are all so talented it is hard to feel noticed. I don't have a fancy team, I don't have generational wealth, hell MN doesn't even have walk up traffic half the year cuz of all the snow lol But what I have is my heart and my music and playing at GCF might just be the thing that lets people SEE me and this love I have for music and entertaining. You never know.
What would you do with $50,000?
After paying off some debt? lol I would very much like to tour the country with my band! When I am lucky enough to have them all my band consists of a DJ, drummer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, 3 incredible horn players, and anywhere from 1-3 talented vocalists! To be able to travel the country doing what we do would be a dream come true but also pretty costly to get that much gear and people around safely. If I could do the incredible and win this thing we would show the whole country love.
