Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I would say I am inspired by the simplicities, complexities and mysteries of life. I love the culture of the human being, and how different people share their experience, especially the ways it's expressed through art, rhythm and story. I'm inspired by nature, earthly and cosmic. As for artists I'm inspired by Hyolyn, Hikaru Utada, Shawn Desman, Tori Kelly, Jidenna. Of course the greats like Burna Boy, Mariah, Brandy, D’Angelo, Prince, and Koji Kondo.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be such a significant moment in the "Afrobeats to the world" movement in my career. To be a major contributer to that not as an African, not even as a Canadian, North American, but as a Cosmian is just.. woah. I think there are so many people at the Global Citizen Festival who would feel seen because of my unique story, background, and message－which is one of unity, peace and love as a acquired state from within each individual.
