Who or what is your musical inspiration?
OK KING is inspired by the musical freedom and pop songwriting of artists like Axl Rose, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Burns, and Alex Cameron, while also drawing heavily from the raw power of bands like Television, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, and King Gizzard. We deeply admire artists who tell unique stories without compromising the excitement and energy of real rock music.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This is the shot we've been waiting for! Global Citizen Festival gives us the chance to get our songs and message in front of a much wider audience. Our music has broad appeal, but a lot of people don’t know we exist yet. Not only will this help us reach new listeners, it will also connect us with like-minded musicians around the world.Bottom line: we need people to hear our stuff. This is an incredible opportunity to share what we’ve got.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would invest in OK KING. This money would give us the opportunity to realize our music at a much higher level. We have big plans for our sound and we need the capital to take us there.
