Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up on classical music (Chopin, Vivaldi, Beethoven) and was trained in opera, but I ultimately found my voice through jazz ( Ella, Billie, Nina). When I began writing my own music, artists like Fiona Apple, Radiohead, Jill Scott, Joni Mitchell, Rufus Wainwright, Tori Amos, Ben Harper, Jeff Buckley— and so many more— resonated deeply. Songwriters who tell vivid stories are my biggest inspiration.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a truly life-altering opportunity, a launchpad for the career I've relentlessly pursued and the catalyst to finally build the life I've always envisioned as a full-time artist dedicating my life fully to my craft. This platform would allow me to connect with new listeners, industry professionals, and fellow artists, propelling my career forward in ways I can only begin to imagine. It's the chance I've been waiting for.
What would you do with $50,000?
100% dedicated to live performance: compensating touring musicians, booking shows coast to coast and world wide. The 50k would be used as a direct investment in bringing my music to life for fans and expanding my reach exponentially.
