Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I survived plenty, rebuilt a life through chords, and found purpose on the fretboard. My daughters are my code, my guitar, my voice. I write from the gut, where truth lives. Definitely channeling Santana’s soul, SRV’s fire, and my own scars. I am overly aware & it both feeds my motivation to persevere & inspires me to write. Truly, my solo work reveals me. Music isn’t what I do - it’s how I stay alive. Every note I play is another day earned indeed.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
The experience would definitely validate my musical journey. Moreover, it would change everything for me! There is a proper and worthy audience to be had at this fest. I’m confident my career would be enhanced beyond words. The impact would be enormous indeed.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would hire a competent lawyer and undue the injustice that I have been living with for 1699 days. Love to reunite with my daughters and go on a vacation. Reintroduce myself to my 3 girls. Have them witness Dads determination to hug them once again.
