Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is my family. As a pastor's child, I was immersed in church and captivated by its sounds. My earliest memories are of my family singing, and that rich Midwest gospel tradition shaped me as I became the church's keyboardist at age 6, playing until December 2024. As I’ve grown, I’ve found my own voice in electronic and experimental music, blending my gospel roots with techno and house.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen Festival would be a transformative moment in my career, giving me the chance to share my sound with the world. Coming from a conservative background, I sat on my music for years, too afraid to fully express myself and my vision. This opportunity represents freedom and will be tip of the iceberg for me showcase the range of my abilities—and I won’t waste it.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would create a more stable home life for me and my partner with this money and also invest a portion back into my music career so I could continue to take myself to the next level.
