My first true musical love was Puff the Magic Dragon (😶🌫️💨❤️🔥🐉). Life after meningitis at 2 left me speechless for a year, and PtMD got me singing and then talking—after years of speech therapy came 80s movie soundtracks, Bette Midler, Cher, & Madonna. Do I look like a fortune teller? It probably will go badly, but that's just how I roll! Honestly, it would mean I finally have a career after 48 years of avoiding one. Can I play a recording, or do I need a full band?
