Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m inspired by Josh Ramsay from the band Marianas Trench. He overcame so much and is such an incredible vocalist, songwriter and producer. He’s been my idol since I was 5 years old. I also am inspired by artists like MUNA, who use their music and status to raise awareness on important issues and create a safe space for queer people. Someday I would like to have the opportunity to do that, and I would like to be as great of a musician as Josh Ramsay.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be insanely incredible and beneficial. It would allow me to reach new audiences, gain more experience and spread my message and music. This is a life changing opportunity, and I would not take it for granted. Music is the love of my life, and my purpose is to share my music and help others. Honestly, it would be my dream come true and would help me kickstart my career.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use some of it for my education, both post secondary and musically. I plan to attend university, and I would like to take some production courses so that I can improve my songwriting and musical abilities. I would put some money towards marketing and touring, new gear and I would save/invest the majority of it. I would also take my family on vacation to show them my appreciation for their support towards me and my music. My parents are so understating and proud of me, and I am grateful.
