Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My music is heavily inspired by artists like Bazzi, Ed Sheeran, Noah Kahan, and Twentyonepilots. All of these impacted me in their own way Twentyonepilots inspired me early on to want to write songs that help people, Ed and Noah made me want to write better lyrics and play guitar, and Bazzi helped me find my soudn within pop music and where my voice fits on a track.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As a small artist from a town in Alabama with a population of 12,000 it would give me a platform that I have never even had close to the oppurtunity of using to spread my original music with new cultures and audiences. If I could get any number of new followers on social media in or coverage online it would help me get off of the slow playing four gigs a week at bars every weekend grind that I have been doing since I was 14.
What would you do with $50,000?
I am a nurse during the week because my backup plan in life was no matter what I wanted to be helping people weather it be through songs or my actual trade. With that being said if I won fifty thousand dollars i would use the majority paying off my student debt and some of it to invest back into my music.
