Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Bob Dylan, The Doors, Aurora, Caroline Polachek, PJ Harvey, Pink Floyd, Beat literature and poetry, lots of different kinds of books, classical music, art of all kinds, architecture (which is frozen music), walking around the city and country, nature, hanging out with friends, hearing the whispers of sounds in my mind when I begin to wake up in the morning, conversations. Inspiration really does have so many different springs.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
First and foremost, it would give me the opportunity to reach a wider audience in order to make new fans. This performance experience would be an enormous momentum builder in all kinds of ways. Playing live at the GCF would give me greater confidence in my stage performance, allow me to learn how playing at a festival is different from individual gigs, meet other performers and songwriters, promote my brand, and network with music industry persons.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would make two purchases: a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander so I can get out on the road to play shows and a square shoulder Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar to perform with. The rest of the money I would invest in music promotion, gear, and marketing.
