Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Each band member is inspired greatly by a different genre and artist: our drummer is inspired by the rock of Led Zeppelin, our guitarist, the prog-metal of Protest the Hero, our bassist, the jazz stylings of Ron Carter, and our singer is inspired by the theatrics of Broadway belters like Idina Menzel.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As a small band hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, the exposure we would gain from performing at the Global Citizen Festival would boost our career in a way that our current city would never be able to, especially as we are based in a city where the local music scene is dwindling.
What would you do with $50,000?
Petrichord has had its sights on recording and releasing music for a year, and $50,000 would finally grant us the opportunity to not only release music, but also to boost the local Edmonton music scene.
