Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is every black woman’s voice that has graced the presence of this earth. Black woman and our happiness through our struggle is what inspires my music. Specially people like Minnie Riperton who I believe was a sex symbol for her time. Also rappers and artist like lil Kim, Eve, Left eye, Ashanti and Lizzo. My sound is influenced by alchemy and challenges what is socially acceptable, being that I am Plus and I am sexy.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would not only just impact my career, it would impact the world. I deserve and need to be seen because I am a star and when I’m on stage I give it my all because it heals me. Getting on that stage will finally allow people to see me on a major platform and respect my craft. This will open doors for not only my music career but all my talents. Performing on that stage will land me the best PR team and opportunities that will last a lifetime.
What would you do with $50,000?
With 50,000 I would definitely look into creating a space for creatives to film content such as videos or host events. I would use that money to invest in my brand House of Plumpiana which I have been building for some years. The money would help fund my craft and business. Finally I would like to donate some to Maggie’s Garden in Harlem and College Career Preparatory Institute for all the hard work they’ve done and opportunities they have provided me.
