Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is drawn from everyday experiences, dreams, starry skies, trees, sunrise and sunset, relationships, and most importantly LOVE! And all the things that come with it, for better or worse. Rasa is an important artistic driver for me, rasa being the aesthetic essence of a work of art. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would introduce my music to thousands of like-minded people, which would not only open the doors to my career, but would also feed the energy and enthusiasm into the hearts and souls of music-loving activists everywhere and I would have a fantastic time doing it! This, in turn, would empower my own music and activism in a dynamic, never-ending virtuous cycle of love.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use 50k to pay to self-release my new album, associated legal fee's, management, merchandising, and promotions. Other funds would be used to complete "Sanctuary Studios" my non-profit recording studio located at Bovata Gardens Sanctuary, a 501c3 farm sanctuary in NC. Not only would I record my music there, but I would welcome financially challenged musicians to record at the facility at a reduced cost, or free of charge in a farm work exchange. www.bovatagardenssanctuary.org
