Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My mother and father. My family and my city. Tupac, T.i., Jay-Z, Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Omarion, Keith Sweat, Al Green, Luther Vandross, Prince, Michael Jackson, Jaheim, Lil Wayne, Whitney Houston, and so many more.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would completely change the trajectory of my career. This would be the largest success of my career. I would be able to perform my music in front of the biggest crowd in my life. I could connect with so many different people and cultures, so that maybe I could spread a little more love in this world through my art. It would mean everything to me and be the most significant turning point in my career
What would you do with $50,000?
I would fully invest in my music. I would have my studio sessions for my album booked and ready. I would connect with venus anywhere I could to book and tour as much as possible. I'd give my studio the upgrades it needs. Also see if there's a way to open up more performance and artist development centers in my city, so the talent in my hometown can thrive and have connections they need to grow in their careers.
