Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We are inspired greatly by the psychedelic and progressive rock of the late 60s and 70s, as well as modern progressive metal bands. Our biggest influences are Yes, King Crimson, Rush, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Meshuggah, Mastodon and Korn. We use our influences as a stepping stone towards something new completely while respecting our roots.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
We could expose hoards of new people to our sound and make new friends and fans along the way. This festival would be the culmination of over 10 years of hard work and would impact us greatly. The four of us have bonded over music to the point that it’s our primary language, and to be able to share our music with that many more people would mean the world to us.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would invest in more dependable instruments and special effects to bring our performances to the next level, as well as a van to travel the country in. This money could help spread Psychofluid across the map.
