Who or what is your musical inspiration?
What inspires me is the joy and community music creates, especially through live experiences. Seeing people have a great time or hearing how a lyric moved them deeply means everything. Musically, I’ve been influenced by so many—from early icons like Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty to later artists like André 3000.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This is an opportunity to share my music with a global audience while also gaining meaningful legitimacy in both the music and charitable communities, allowing me to continue my live performances. I previously performed at one of your smaller events in Los Angeles before launching Pynk Beard, and the response was incredible. GCF would be a major platform that could open new doors—not just for my career, but also for giving back.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use the funds for recording and tour support to reach the fanbase I’ve been building. I have a strong regional following and a growing online audience that I’m eager to connect with in person. A $50,000 grant would make it possible to meet them where they are and share live music experiences. Thank you for your consideration.
