Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My family is my main inspiration. They have been singing for 48 years in a quartet gospel group known as the Bester Singers. Without them I would have never had any talent whatsoever. Another person that comes to mind is my late aunt Willie Mae. She always asked me to sing for her. She passed a few years ago and I never got the chance to say goodbye, but I will continue to sing for her to make her proud.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It will be life changing. I’m just a country boy from Louisiana, so it’ll most definitely help me to gain connections, build relationships and friendships and inspire any upcoming artist to keep pushing forward.
What would you do with $50,000?
Family comes first so I’d most likely help settle a lot of things for them. It’s all out of love. After that, I would build my own studio so I can help other creators achieve their goals.
