Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical/ inspiration is filled with soul and R&B and many genres of music. Etta James is a favorite, Jasmine Sullivan and Maya Angelou it's the way they make you feel when they sing/ speak . That's the same feeling that inspires me when I perform my poetry. I want everyone who hears it to feel the message that's the first step in receiving it.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career tremendously. I've always wanted to perform my poetry infront of thousands of people. The more people that hear my words are given a chance for healing.,for acknowledgement just to be heard. This world is filled with forgotten soul who just wanna be heard. I will be their voice.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I had 50,000 I'd pay off all my debt /owed bills and start to rebuild my credit. Donate to breast cancer survivors in the memory of my mom. Put 10k away for my only son and continue to work on my poetry until I reach my full potential.
