Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Starting with the Beatles, Kurt Cobain, and Black Sabbath back in the 4th grade- My current inspirations look more like Bartees Strange, At the Drive in, Explosions in the Sky, and The Mezingers. I’m inspired by the stories that surround my family and loved ones, and the chaos of the current world.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
An opportunity to connect with that many people on a stage and platform that large. I’m a native New Yorker and have attended the festival. It’s a powerful moment. Playing this festival would help keep the fire lit, and help put a milestone behind me.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would pay off my loans. I would take my mother on a mother- son trip. After that I would press previous records on vinyl, and invest in a space to record and have a constant stream of musical output.
