Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I draw inspiration from a mix of Filipino and global influences. I admire Ben&Ben’s soulful lyrics and genre fusion, plus KZ Tandingan’s jazz vocals and bold experimentation. I’m also inspired by OPM’s rich tradition, blending Western and Filipino elements while valuing heartfelt stories. This shapes my unique sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a game-changer for my career. Sharing the stage with global icons and performing for tens of thousands in Central Park would expose my music to a massive, passionate audience and industry leaders. It would connect me with other artists and activists, amplify my voice for social causes, and help me build a platform that goes beyond music-making a real impact in the world.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000, I’d save some for my retirement to ensure long-term security. I’d also set aside funds for my children’s education, helping them achieve their dreams without financial stress. Additionally, I’d support my friend who promotes Filipino artists in the U.S., helping bring our culture to world stages. This way, I can invest in my family’s future while uplifting the Filipino community and sharing our talent globally.
