Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is fueled by my ancestry, community, and internal desire for creative expression through music and lyrics. Knowing I can create a medium to speak of our hardships, successes, and dreams motivates me to share the stories of those around me and before me who can relate or receive an unwavering message. Knowing I’m a representation of various cultures and age groups who are fighting for their dreams is central to who I am and why I continue my artistic, musical journey.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career by allowing me to perform on one of the most unique stages shared with renowned artists. It would be a pivotal moment in my life, giving me a priceless opportunity to share my passion with people around the world. This would be one of the greatest experiences I’ve taken part in as an independent artist who has stayed true to their craft. It would grant everyone a chance to receive a message from a life-changing perspective.
What would you do with $50,000?
The best thing you can ever invest in is yourself, your family, and your community. I would use the money to make an impact in my life and those around me by creating opportunities for other artists like myself. This capital would further allow me to expand my artistic career by facilitating access to other creatives, musicians, and composers seeking to elevate their own talents. I would be able to open doors to new avenues, building a legacy with greater tools that can be everlasting in impact.
