Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations are artists like Pharrell and Kanye West. I listened to them a lot growing up, and as I got older, I started listening beyond lyrics. I focused on beats and wondered how they were made. That curiosity led me to teach myself music production and create my own sound. I’ve always wanted to be different, and I feel like my music reflects that uniqueness
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career by giving me the opportunity to share my music with people like me and show them they can do it too. There are a lot of people in my life who don’t believe in me, but I want to prove to them that I have what it takes. A performance in front of a crowd like that would really show that I do.
What would you do with $50,000?
With the $50,000 I would help my mom. She had me when she was 16 and my brothers in the years after. She raised me and my brothers all by herself and she always supported my dreams since I was a child and never gave up on me. She bought me my first laptop and equipment. Even when she had nothing she made sure I had everything. She's had my back through thick and thin and this money would really help her out.
