Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I was inspired by Latin rhythms from a young age, thanks to my father, who was a professional percussionist. Music was always present in our home, and as I grew up during the rise of music videos in the '80s, my palette expanded to include pop, rap, hip-hop, dance, and rock. Artists like RUN DMC, especially Jam Master Jay and Public Enemy’s Terminator X had a huge impact on me. There was something truly magical and captivating about the way they scratched records.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a huge moment for me. Besides the chance to be seen by such a massive audience and get that kind of publicity, it would give my career a fresh boost. It’s the kind of once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could open doors, help me reach new fans, and finally give me the push I need to put together an album that really speaks to who I am as an artist.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d reinvest it into my music—mainly marketing a new album the right way and giving it a real shot at reaching a wider audience. With the right strategy, that kind of push could lead to landing a hit record and taking my career to the next level.
