Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Abuse at home and bullying at school left me utterly alone.Not a single friend, and nowhere to turn, a12 year old kid, for the first time, truly heard the lyrics of a song, as if they spoke directly to my situation.I realized if someone else had felt like this,then I wasn’t alone.Maybe someone might hear my lyrics and realize they’re not alone either.Maybe, as it was for me, it will be just enough light for them to make it through the darkness, that’s my inspiration
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Exposure, the hardest thing to get at this point in the music industry. With so much music being so available, the real struggle is cutting through the noise. Being heard. There’s no way to quantify the impact a platform like this could have. It would be life changing.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d put a down payment on a home for my aging parents, currently they live in a fifth wheel toy hauler. Through my writing I’ve come to understand we all do the best we can with the tools we have at the time. We’ve hashed out the past and have found forgiveness and understanding. At 83 84 years old; It would be a blessing to be able to provide them comfort in their twilight years.
