Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is my legacy and family. My grandfather, a celebrated pastor, and my father, an entrepreneur and coach, both influenced my music. They’ve passed away, which drives me to create only clean music that honors their legacy and gives God glory. My family is my inspiration, and Drake is my favorite artist.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would elevate my career by showcasing my unique, energetic style of alternative Christian music. It would introduce my brand and family to a global audience, proving that independent artists from Charlotte, with Caribbean roots, can shine on a grand stage. I aim to inspire others to love both God and music, and to recognize the power and potential of independent artists everywhere!
What would you do with $50,000?
With the $50,000, I would first give back to my community by supporting Victory Christian Church, founded by my grandfather and now led by my grandmother. I’d also donate to Heads Up for Our Youth, a local charity supporting black and inner-city youth. The funds would also help promote my album, boost my podcast, and support my newborn son, who is due on June 18th, 2025. It’s all about giving back and uplifting my family.
