Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Bruce Lee - Formless Ridged adherence to a single style is limiting. A true artist develops thier own unique style that is constantly evolving. Be it acoustic, classical to hard rock the artist is recognizable and able to adapt to the situation.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I've written recorded & produced 2 albums. ROCK WATKINS- TALESMAN and encore TALES OF DESPAIR performed entirely by myself. My entourage, Daniel Douglas- Percussion Nic NNZ - Bass Lega'ce Singer - Back-Up Vocals Boots Tosti - Saxophone A god given group of talented dedicated musicians who perform each tune verbatim or better. When we get together.... something magical happens. We're used to the big stage, ready to tour and love to share this gift with the masses.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50K would speed up our production. I've alredy pressed ROCK WATKINS - TALESMAN on vinyl and CD. I still have to press TALES OF DESPAIR & SIPPING TEA. We are currently recording a double live album that I'll personally master. This will be the 1st recording of all the ROCK WATKINS songs actually performed by the band. We'll use the money to record our next studio album and accelerate our promotion. As we make our own luck, we are doing this regardless, but the prize would certainly hellp.
