Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I think being brought up in one of the most densely populated areas of the US has lead me to have a diverse range of musical inspiration. I think every artist is in some ways always inspired by their parents music, and for me it was listening to Jackson 5 and then in turn Michael Jackson - I think it comes from the pop superstars that really shine a light and ignite a lot of what people dream to one day be. When coming into adulthood my biggest inspiration is Joyner Lucas.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I believe this opportunity would be crucial, everyone always tells me I was born to perform on the stage and a bigger platform would be helpful to gain an impactful experience for myself and provide the crowd with a performance that is unapologetically myself - I think I have a lot to bring to the table and I would love to bring my vision more out into the world.
What would you do with $50,000?
The money would be able to be used to production of new songs, tracks, and even a complete album. In this industry and being an independent artist money is crucial to accelerate the growth with providing the grounds and foundation to get more music into the listeners ears. Besides that the money would help with costs associated with content and promotion and helping make better and wiser financial decisions.
