Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have an array of musical inspirations, starting with my mom who put me into classical lessons at the age of 6. Some of my inspirations I picked up along the way are Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Tori Kelly. Growing up in a multicultural household, I also had exposure to brilliant global artists like Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, and Pandit Jasraj. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen Festival would be life changing. Being from New Jersey (and an honorary New Yorker considering how often I'm there for both music and leisure), Global citizen has always been a festival I've had my eyes on, and playing it would be a dream come true. I also really love the fact that the festival has been built around such a great cause, and performing at a festival that stands for the right things would make it an even sweeter experience.
What would you do with $50,000?
With the $50,000, I would give a portion of it to my parents for all the years they have fostering my music from a young age, and to help pay for my sister's college. With the rest of the money, I would reinvest it into my career. I've been doing music full time after graduating college and working on making it independently, and this money would really help me strengthen my team and resources to lead me to bigger and better opportunities for my growth as an artist.
