I’m a Brooklyn-based producer with 9 years in the game, making sharp, distinctive house and UKG that innovates.
Thank you for generously supporting Sasha Rome in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to empower Global Citizen in their mission to eradicate extreme poverty and create a world where everyone has an equal chance to thrive.
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up playing guitar in bands, idolizing groups like The Strokes and The Black Keys. Over time, I got into music production and started drawing a lot of inspiration from the underground electronic scene in Bushwick, NY, where I’ve been going out for the past 8 years and now live. I’m also heavily influenced by the UK scene—artists like Cameo Blush and Bicep have definitely shaped my sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I have been on a lot of large NY stages including Knockdown Center, Elsewhere and Webster Hall among others but this would be the largest stage yet. On top of that I have been a fan of Global Citizen’s message and mission for a long time now (I first went 10yrs ago in college) and it would be incredible to be a part of it.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would be able to finally pursue my dream of doing full-time music in earnest. I would utilize the funds to further my music project and set up my first tour :)
