Who or what is your musical inspiration?
From a young age my father put me on to old blues and soul classics like muddy waters, Howlin’ wolf, Aretha Franklin. he also introduced me to my main inspiration The Rolling Stones. As a band we take inspiration from a variety of people like cage the elephant, spoon, the Kooks. Many bands as to which we’ve been compared to in magazines and press. We try to take bits we love about who we’re inspired by and make something our own out of it.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would impact our career greatly. Especially at this point while we’re young and just starting to break through, it would help us engage to a wider audience we’ve been itching to get infront of and show we’re worth the time. We’ve grown up born and raised in New York City cutting our teeth at iconic venues like Mercury lounge and Bowery ballroom. Even gone to see the global citizen festival in our youth, it would be a cool full circle moment for us and help take our car
What would you do with $50,000?
Invest it in the band and our music career. We’re really serious about doing this and being a professional band and going all the way, we don’t want to do or be anything else. It would greatly help change our lives in a really cool way. Having a budget like that to handle things like recording, touring, merch, and rolling out new music would be truly amazing.
