Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Forming a musical love child of Evanescence, K-pop groups (ATEEZ, B.A.P, BTS, etc.), Lady Gaga, and P!ATD, the stage name "Scarlett Sno" embodies what it means to be human - from life to death. My music delves into the dark fantasy world I created to explore the human condition - love, death, betrayal, mental health, etc. Just like the artists that give me inspiration, I strive to create music that heals people and makes a difference in someone's life.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Receiving the honor to play my music in front of an audience this large would open so many doors in my career. I see this opportunity opening doors for touring, interviews, and exposure. But most importantly, this opportunity will allow me to reach a whole new audience with my music. An audience that has a love and appreciation for music and understands the joys it can bring and the sorrows and fears it can snuff out. Their fire for music is insatiable, and I am ready to feed them mine.
What would you do with $50,000?
I plan to use this money to create an artistic short film music video series of my next album. It is a concept album inspired by the journey I had learning who I was throughout my early 20s. It is the story of the human condition, how everything fell apart around me, and how I learned to find the strength within myself to pick up the pieces. The money will go into the production of this artistic series as well as the marketing and distribution of it. It's a story I hope will inspire others.
