Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Being a band full of millennial's, we've grown up with 90's and early 2000's grunge, punk, ska and reggae artists. However, we are well versed in the history of ska and reggae, and appreciate the founding fathers of our genre. The ska, punk, reggae genre inspires us because of its historically non violent yet rebellious agenda. Its always been about connecting with people, drawing attention to injustices, oppression, and prejudice. This genre captures our angsty spirit and mission.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at this festival would be a dream come true. It would not only allow us to advance dramatically in our career, but also allow us to start building on our promises to serve our community. We want to raise funds to help support education in underprivileged areas. We want to help raise awareness and support for women's reproductive rights. Performing at this festival would mean that our mission matters. That a quality life full of love and happiness should be obtainable to everyone.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would set up merchandising lines that would help raise money for educational materials for underfunded schools. As well as educational materials on the importance of women's reproductive rights. We would set up proper tours visiting not only venues around the country but visiting our youth wherever we are welcomed to teach youth about music and connect with our community.
