Who or what is your musical inspiration?
One of our musical inspirations has always been the Red Hot Hot Chili Peppers. When the band first met, the Chili Peppers were the one band that everyone resonated with. They have a chaotic style and a unique blend of genres, which was very similar to our situation; we all had extremely different musical backgrounds that when blended created something truly special. Each band member listened to different music, ranging from rock, to blues, to funk, to rap, to metal, combining to create our sound
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would mean the world to us. We’re a bunch of broke college kids from rural New Hampshire (except for our lovely guitarist from Sri Lanka who is here at UNH) who are constantly looking for a chance to share our music and energy with new people. Being from a small state and not having a financial backing, we rarely get opportunities to expand, so this would change everything for us.
What would you do with $50,000?
A lot of us (myself, the rhythm guitarist included) have a LOT of student loan debt to pay off, so we would certainly invest in our futures. The absolute dream for us is to get by through sharing music and spreading joy through music, so this would be a huge step in the right direction for us.
