Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Beatz Wyze is comprised of myself, Serg; my brother Kelvin aka K Dank & our friend Nicolas aka, Mozzy Nic. We all are inspired by a variety of musicians/genres of music; hip-hop/rap, progressive metal, rock, R&B, dance, country. I'm inspired by artists like "Tyler The Creator", Homixide Gang, Eminem, Daniel Caesar, Laufey, XXXTentacion, and Beabadoobee. Mozzy Nic and Kelvin (K Dank) are inspired by groups such as Animals Leaders, Meshuggah, Slip Knot, Future, and Metro Boomin.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
If given the opportunity to perform at the Global Citizen Festival, my career would potentially be catapulted by gaining new followers and I'd be able to build my fan base. Being able to perform at any musical event is good exposure for musicians/artists, but performing at the Global Citizen Festival is a way to entertain and bring awareness to worldwide "poverty". I would be one of the few rappers since it began in 2012 to perform at this exclusive event if given the opportunity.
What would you do with $50,000?
Winning a $50,000 prize is an amazing opportunity, and, although I'd love to take the prize monies and invest in our own independent label Beatz Wyze LTD., I researched the history and mission of Global Citizen Festival, and I realize there are many more people in need of that money than myself. I'd set aside $10,000 for some new studio equipment. Since the Festival was started to help end extreme poverty, I'd donate the remaining amount to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development goals.
