Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I much rather refer to as “what“ rather than “who” regarding my inspiration, because my music comes from my personal experiences and my experiences only. Although I began writing and crafting in 2015 in Nigeria, I moved to south Florida in 2017 and became a victim of school gun violence in 2018 via the Stoneman Douglas massacre. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would serve as a statement and immortal reminder to never allow your past to determine your future. For a long time I questioned why I was still alive based on my previous circumstances. The Global Citizen Festival would show every other aspiring creator in Nigeria and across the globe anything is possible as long as you have Jesus, Faith, and drive.
What would you do with $50,000?
For starters, tithe 10% to family back home as I got the opportunity to earn in a currency that would astronomically change their situations. Next, clear my mother’s debt. Although it is not much, trying to accomplish it solo as a single mother only increases the difficulty. As the oldest in an all-girl household, it’s only right I show up as the top provider. Lastly, I will fund my ongoing promotions and campaigns as the music itself got me here. Makes sense it goes right back. Than
