Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We collaborate. And to be honest, specifics can’t really be pinpointed because each are inspired by different artists and genres. We’re definitely pop, our management have described our sound as a Cher, Madonna, Britney Spears with a sultry undertone. As songwriters, we take a lot of inspiration from Sault, Sabrina Claudio, Beyoncé, The Weekend, Lady Gaga, Bebe Rexha, Zedd, Max Martin, Black Coffee, Lazonate Franklin and Stevie Nicks. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It will be a platform to build on, it is an opportunity to introduce the music and the team behind me to a broad audience and we will build from there.
What would you do with $50,000?
Every penny will be spent on production, marketing and PR. We self funded the last 2 years. My entire team is comprised of independently run production businesses. I would use the money to pay my production team and to hire the right marketing and PR team. We (a team) are not new to the industry. We just need financial backing and this grant will provide us that.
