Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Life itself is my greatest inspiration. Being raised in the church taught me that music isn’t just sound, it’s emotion, spirit, and truth. Every lyric I write is a reflection of what I’ve lived, felt, and overcome.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This opportunity would align perfectly with my mission as an artist & songwriter who creates with purpose. I make music to heal, to tell the truth, and to empower and the Global Citizen Festival is about exactly that. Performing there would not only increase my visibility, it would help me connect my sound with global impact. It’s where message meets movement and that’s where I belong.
What would you do with $50,000?
When I win the $50,000, I’m investing it directly into building the infrastructure of my independent music ecosystem. That includes launching my songwriting company S.Marie Sounds and expanding my label LYSUN Ent., which is committed to telling authentic stories and elevating purposeful music.
