Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration? I listen to Bob Dylan, Etta James, The Clash, Richard Pryor…There are countless bands, singers, and songwriters I could list. What moves me to write is real life. It’s different everyday and sometimes it’s not there at all but I’m so grateful when it is.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Playing the Global Citizens Festival would open so many doors for my career. I’ll get exposure and hopefully recording possibilities. Also I’m a mom and I’ll be able to throw it in my kids face when he’s older and tells me I’m not cool.
What would you do with $50,000?
Winning the 50k would allow me the financial freedom to take care of my family and make my dream record…and no, it’s not a comedy album so quit asking.
