Who or what is your musical inspiration?
As a band we come from a collective of different musical backgrounds and scenes, which is extremely inspiring and allows us to find such chemistry in each other. One thing we can all agree upon is striving to continuously inspire one another as musicians and songwriters. She The People writes, records, and produces their own music! Jas' amazing strings, Belle's powerhouse vocals and lyricism, Kayla's impactful production and drums, and Yaffa's ripping guitar; She The People inspires each other.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
We hope performing at the Global Citizen Festival would give us the opportunity and ability to connect with larger audiences through our music. For Belle's entire life, she has been a dancer with professional experience, as well as being a singer and guitarist in a 50 city national tour allowing her to thrive while performing for big crowds. Larger than life, we hope to make people not want to look away by combining our electrifying stage presence with catchy and relatable original songs.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000 She The People can finally afford a vehicle better suited for traveling and tours. We are currently driving around Belle's Jeep Grand Cherokee and weighing it down so much, that the emergency automatic breaking system is disabled. Don't even get us started on Kayla's car. We hope to reach more people at further distances safely and efficiently!
