Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Whew, too many to list! We love any artist with great melodies, killer hooks, and a driving beat - From the early rock and roll pioneers like Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard, to everything 70's/80's glam rock and metal like Alice Cooper, Cinderella, Vixen, and Guns n' Roses, to modern rock like Ghost and Kaleo, we're down for any song that you can pop on at a party to get people moving! Loud guitars, crazy hair, flashy showmanship - who doesn't love all that?
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
The members of Shiver have had the honor of playing all around the country, opening for a range of acts like Warrant, The Tubes, The Yardbirds, Sugarloaf, LA Guns, Bret Michaels, Saliva, and many more, so this show would be an awesome opportunity to meet another incredible audience of die-hard music fans. We put on regular charity music events in our hometown venues in LA, so playing at a festival that is helping to better the world would be an absolute blast, as well as a genuine honor.
What would you do with $50,000?
Well first off, one of our guitarists broke a string at the last show, but with the remaining $49,998... We would love to find a way to use funds to give back! As mentioned, we've put on many charity shows in LA, with proceeds going to charity organizations including Alice Cooper's Solid Rock Foundation and The Ronnie James Dio Cancer Fund, so we'd definitely donate a portion to various non-profits and charities. After that, we would utilize some of the winnings on our next album release!
