Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration was and always is an artist who lives in their truth and converted their struggles and life’s obstacles into art. Some examples include: Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, and Lauryn Hill. These 3 artists have taught me so much and made me feel things I can’t even comprehend. I’ve always felt like the purpose of all life is to learn and to leave what you’ve learned for the generations to come. The artists I’ve mentioned have done just that.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career is such a massive way. I would be so grateful for this opportunity to share my thoughts and point of view to a larger scale. I feel like in this current state of the country everyone needs a sense of comfort and I would be honored to bring that to Global Citizen. I would also be able to impact someone’s life in a positive way and that’s always the goal.
What would you do with $50,000?
What I would do with $50,000 is explore my creativity, give back to my community, and help my mother with anything she needs. It would be such a blessing to be seen and applauded for making a positive impact on the world. I make music to heal me and others so to be gifted for it would be such a great moment in my life. Thank you, Global Citizen again for this opportunity and I would like to wish any other Artists who are entering a great journey and happiness. Blessings.
