We may be too metal for emos and too emo for metalheads, but what I can say is that we are 100% ourselves, drawing from pop, metal and emo.

Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Musically, we are influenced by 80s thrash metal (Slayer, Kreator), 21st century emo (Dads, Heccra, My Chemical Romance), and 90s alternative rock (Hum, Smashing Pumpkins, Lift to Experience). Lyrically, my inspiration comes from writing about my own life; be it my interpersonal relationships, my political and religious beliefs, or my struggles with mental health, including depression, anxiety, heavy drug use and ADHD.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would provide us with a massive stage on which to express ourselves, and hopefully introduce our audience to a new kind of metal music. Not only would it affect our career, but hopefully also the careers of our friends and collaborators in Philadelphia, who are trying every day to make their artistic dreams work in an economy that doesn't prioritize artists' wellbeing. Ideally, we'd parlay the recognition from playing the Global Citizen festival into supporting our friends' artistic visions.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would use that money to reinvest into our home city of Philadelphia, hopefully by opening an events space. It's a dream of mine to one day open a non-profit music venue/events space, and host every kind of social gathering, concert, lecture, book signing, or political rally imaginable there. There are not enough events spaces in Philadelphia, and the ones that do exist have their calendars booked up at all times. It can be incredibly difficult for new/talented bands to break into the scene.
