Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from my African heritage and the sounds that have passed down through generations. The world I see and the feelings that I have influence the writing of my song lyrics.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a tremendous jump start to my career because it would be a tremendous boost to the Afrobeat vibe nationally and internationally. So not only would this influence my career, but it would also positively impact the careers of other Afrobeats artists who yearn for the vibe to get the recognition and popularity it deserves.
What would you do with $50,000?
With the $50,000 prize money, I would work to spread the Afrobeat vibe nationally and internationally. I would be able to go home to Togo West Africa and let other young artists know that the Afrobeat vibe is growing and I would encourage other artists to add to this growth.
