Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Lead singer and main songwriter, Chris Poulson, was inspired to pursue music by his mother, who was a talented singer-songwriter until cancer took away her voice permanently. Poulson draws influence from notable musicians such as Dave Grohl and Kurt Cobain, as well as bands like Green Day and blink-182. Additionally, Sound Siren’s music even incorporates elements from classic country and western roots due to Poulson’s upbringing in a Southern musical family.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Any exposure is valuable but performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a dream come true for all of us! It would have a profound impact on each of our music careers and undoubtedly be a memorable experience that we would never forget.
What would you do with $50,000?
A portion of the funds will initially be used to help pay off the debt incurred from out-of-pocket expenses for recording our album. Additionally, this contribution will assist family members in need who are living on a fixed income and relying on Social Security. Including helping finance convalescent home expenses for one of the singers family members, which is also paid for by their family. Sound Siren would love the opportunity to tour and have the means to purchase a vehicle to do so.
